How can anyone ignore AI’s rapid impact on our lives? It seems to be infiltrating everything, and while I don’t really understand it at all, I see its effects. My students suddenly write in robotic, homogenized tones, stripped of personality and individuality. As a maker, I value the beauty of human imperfections—those variations, mistakes, and quirks that make creativity rich and meaningful. Flawed writing , unintentional tool marks , or a stumbled phrase reveal the humanness behind the work. These “imperfections” are not errors but evidence of authentic expression, impossible for AI to replicate….yet. Creativity lies in this messy, unpredictable, and deeply personal process.
