“Food for Thought” was started with a found 19th century sterling silver salt spoon which was modified with posts for the three freshwater pearls. Suspending below the spoon is a brass text plate with a bezel and prong set ammonite fossil. The brooch measures approximately 2.25×2.25” is worn using the handmade sterling silver and 18 gauge spring steel mechanism. The piece is signed, hallmarked and dated 2024.
