A layered textural heart is the basis for this composition. The all sterling silver heart supports a bezel and tab set antique glass doll’s eye, an arched nose and abstract mouth and a “target” opposite eye. The framed heart has copper nails inserted into the edge and soldered in place. The piece is finished with a dark patina and the brooch is worn using the handmade sterling silver and 18 gauge spring steel mechanism and worn as a pendant using the integrated hidden bale.
