"My 72 Hour Sick Day", Sterling Silver, Brass, Turquoise, Citrine and Glass Pendant and Forged Neck Ring
After a recent trip to London I returned with a small cold that within a few days turned into a full blown case of Covid. During my 72 hour bed ridden fog of mostly drifting uncomfortably in and out sleep I kept having the same endless dream about working in my studio on a piece that would never, EVER get done. When I emerged from the fog and went back to the studio I actually finished the piece! From the best of my memory this is what the dream was about. Textural and kinetic sterling silver and brass pendant with green turquoise and caged citrine crystals captured and suspended from a forged sterling silver neck ring. The antique found glass screw was an addition that wasn’t in the dream but I felt was apropos. The pendant measures approximately 8.5 x 2” and the neck ring measures 5.5” diameter or 17.25” in circumference. . The necking closes with a simple tension clasp and this substantial piece is signed, hallmarked and dated 2024. Complimentary tracked and insured USPS Ground Advantage shipping within the US.
