This is a little off brand but recently I was alerted that a few of my pieces have come up for sale online through an estate sales organization . Out of curiosity I took a look and ended up re-aquiring this piece. I have explored the “Give a Damn” Cicada brooch a couple of different times throughout my practice but this is the first and original piece made in 2016. The brooch is made of reticulated sterling silver fused onto copper, a sand cast sterling silver branch and two beautiful 4.5mm natural emerald cabochons. The wings are pierced with the words “give a damn”. The piece measures approximately 4x3” and signed and hallmarked (I didn’t date pieces in this period) I did spruce up the patina and replace the spring steel pin.
