A highly textural fused and reticulated sterling silver “cloud” is the basis for this composition. The cloud supports a bezel and tab set rare green turquoise cabochon and a scratch finished brass element. The piece is finished with a dark patina and a “swirl” of 12 gauge forged sterling silver. The brooch is worn using the handmade sterling silver and 18 gauge spring steel mechanism and although the brooch doesn’t have a dedicated bale, it can be worn as a pendant using a variety of opportunities to feed chain or cord through the open loops in the swirl.
