This piece draws inspiration from English Arts and Crafts Period (1860-1915) tea caddy spoons, which embodied the movement’s emphasis on handcrafted artistry and functionality. Typically made from silver or mixed metals, these unique spoons featured exuberant organic motifs like leaves, flowers, or simple geometric patterns. Celebrating artisan craftsmanship, they blended aesthetic design with practicality, reflecting the era’s dedication to individuality and utility.

Additionally, the piece is influenced by the Edwardian pouter pigeon silhouette in women’s fashion (1901–1910), which emphasized soft shoulders, a full chest, and curvaceous figures shaped by S-bend corsets. High-necked blouses with ruffles and lace highlighted the rounded bust, while skirts flared below the hips, showcasing Edwardian ideals of feminine elegance.

The heart-shaped freshwater pearl, serendipitously discovered while searching for the perfect stone, beautifully echoes the romantic and organic motifs of the design.
